Project Overview
The NDC Partnership Support Unit, through the World Resources Institute (WRI), is seeking a web development and security support vendor for its main website and multiple climate-focused microsites. The selected vendor will provide ongoing development, maintenance, security, performance, and technical advisory services under an open contract, with individual work orders issued as projects arise.
The engagement covers the NDC Partnership website as well as the CAEP, Partnership in Action, CIPMF, and NDC Navigator sites. The contract period is January 1, 2027 through December 31, 2028.
Scope of Work (Requirements)
1. Web Development & Design
- Develop and implement new website features and enhancements.
- Fix bugs and support the full software development lifecycle.
- Design, develop, and launch new web-based applications as required.
- Provide UI/UX recommendations based on user-centered design principles.
- Maintain visual consistency and brand alignment across websites.
- Improve usability, accessibility, performance, SEO, GEO, security, and responsiveness.
- Recommend cost-effective, scalable, maintainable, and sustainable technical solutions.
2. Website Maintenance & Security
- Maintain website applications, platforms, and dependencies on supported versions.
- Plan and manage platform and dependency upgrades.
- Monitor website security, availability, and performance.
- Identify and resolve security vulnerabilities and performance issues.
- Manage significant security incidents and prepare post-incident reports.
- Coordinate with hosting, infrastructure, and third-party providers when required.
3. Analytics & Technical Advisory
- Prepare quarterly website analytics reports covering traffic, engagement, and lead-generation metrics.
- Conduct a technical assessment and provide recommendations covering:
- Website architecture
- Security
- Performance
- Accessibility
- SEO and GEO
- Platform upgrades
- Technology roadmap
- Future website improvements
