Project Overview

Clark County Public Works (Solid Waste and Recycling Division) is seeking a qualified vendor to design, develop, implement, and maintain a regional web and mobile waste and recycling search tool.

The platform will serve Clark County and its regional partners (including multiple cities and contracted haulers) and must provide residents and businesses with:

  • Accurate collection schedules

  • Service request capabilities

  • A searchable waste and recycling directory

The tool will replace an existing cloud-based system currently in use across the region. It must integrate with hauler routing systems and be accessible via web and mobile apps (Apple and Android).

The broader objective is to reduce contamination, improve recycling quality and participation, and deliver consistent waste management information countywide.

Scope of Work (Requirements)

The selected contractor will be responsible for full lifecycle delivery, including:

Residential Collection Calendar

  • Address-based pickup schedules
  • Downloadable/printable calendars
  • Email, push, text, or phone reminders

Service Requests

  • Online scheduling for curbside pickups (e.g., bulky items, yard debris)
  • Payment functionality where applicable

Searchable Waste Directories

  • Separate directories for residential and commercial users
  • Image/video embedding capability
  • Typo-tolerant search functionality

  • Release Date: February 11, 2026

  • Pre-Submittal Meeting: February 23, 2026

  • Addendum (if any): March 3, 2026
