Project Overview

The Friedman Memorial Airport Authority (FMAA), which operates Friedman Memorial Airport (SUN) in Hailey, Idaho, is seeking a qualified firm to redesign and modernize its official airport website. The goal is to create an easy-to-navigate, visually appealing, and information-rich website that serves both the traveling public and the broader community.

The website will function as a time-critical information hub for passengers while also acting as a transparent public library for airport documents, plans, studies, and meeting materials.

Scope of Work (Requirements)

The selected consultant or firm will be responsible for:

Discovery & Planning

• Reviewing the existing website and content
• Meeting with Airport staff to identify goals, pain points, and priorities
• Recommending site structure, sitemap, and visual direction

Design & Development

• Creating design mockups for review and approval
• Developing a modern, responsive website optimized for desktop and mobile
• Migrating and organizing existing documents and content

Accessibility, Security & Search

• Ensuring ADA accessibility compliance
• Implementing cybersecurity best practices
• Delivering robust search and clear document categorization

Implementation & Training

• Testing for accessibility, performance, and mobile responsiveness
• Training Airport staff to manage and update content
• Providing system documentation and maintenance guidance

Optional Services

• Website hosting, maintenance, and technical support (optional and separately priced)
