Project Overview

The National Association of State Workforce Agencies (NASWA) is seeking a qualified digital partner to lead a website revamp of its enterprise Drupal 10 platform. The initiative focuses on a front-end redesign and user experience refresh that improves navigation, messaging clarity, and visual presentation, while preserving the existing back-end architecture, integrations, and content structures.

The goal is to deliver a modern, responsive, and accessible website that better reflects NASWA’s role, services, and value to members, partners, and stakeholders across the workforce ecosystem.

Scope of Work (Requirements)

The selected vendor will provide end-to-end services for a cosmetic website facelift within defined technical constraints:

Project Management

  • Manage timeline, milestones, approvals, and stakeholder communication
  • Coordinate closely with NASWA’s internal Drupal team

UX Design

  • Conduct discovery, usability audits, and stakeholder research
  • Develop user personas, journeys, wireframes, and interactive prototypes
  • Improve information architecture, navigation, and accessibility

Web Design

  • Create modern, on-brand, responsive design concepts
  • Deliver reusable design assets and style guidance

Front-End Development

  • Develop or enhance a custom Drupal theme compatible with:
    • Drupal 10 (and planned Drupal 11 upgrade)
    • Pattern Lab, Single Directory Components, and Layout Builder or Drupal Canvas
    • Salesforce REST API data rendered via Twig templates
    • Existing CI/CD pipelines, Solr search, Redis caching, and Pantheon hosting
  • Ensure WCAG accessibility, performance optimization, SEO best practices, and cross-browser compatibility

Back-end systems, integrations, and content models are expected to remain largely unchanged.
