Project Overview

Stitch Buffalo, a Buffalo-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit, is seeking a branding consultant or agency to lead a comprehensive rebranding initiative as the organization enters its second decade. The goal is to clarify brand strategy, refresh visual identity elements, and strengthen messaging so it reflects Stitch Buffalo’s growth, values, and expanding national relevance—while remaining grounded in community, care, and craft.

This effort will support consistency across digital, print, retail, and community-facing touchpoints. Firms that can support both rebranding and website redesign are encouraged to apply.

Scope of Work (Requirements)

The selected partner will guide a collaborative, community-centered rebranding process, including:

Discovery & Research

  • Review existing brand assets and communications
  • Facilitate stakeholder engagement with staff, board, artists, and community partners
  • Conduct audience and landscape analysis

Brand Strategy

  • Clarify or refine brand positioning, values, and voice
  • Develop a cohesive messaging and narrative framework

Visual Identity (Logo excluded)

  • Color palette and typography system
  • Graphic elements and imagery guidelines
  • Accessibility and cultural sensitivity considerations

Applications & Deliverables

  • Comprehensive brand guidelines document
  • Core templates (letterhead, presentations, social media)
  • Retail, class/event promotion, and advertising templates (mockups encouraged)

Implementation Support

  • Staff training or rollout planning
  • Phased implementation recommendations, if applicable

Key Dates
