Privacy Policy

What we collect, why, and the choices you have when you use The Bid Daily.

1. About this policy

The Bid Daily (thebiddaily.com) is an online database of technology and digital RFPs from government, public and non-profit organizations. It is run by Bharmal Technologies, primary registered at Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India, and office at Hillside, NY.

This policy explains what information we collect when you use our website, subscription, email alerts and forms, and how we look after it. By using The Bid Daily, you agree to this policy.

2. What we collect

When you subscribe, Gumroad.com shares your name, email address, country and subscription status with us. When you log in, we keep your username, your password in encrypted form, and any search filters you save. Gumroad (see Gumroad’s privacy policy) handles all payments, so we never see or store your card details.

When you sign up for email alerts, we keep your email address and alert preferences, and we can see whether our emails are opened or clicked. When you contact us or answer a survey, we receive your name, email address and message. When an agency submits an RFP, we receive the organization name, the contact person’s name, work email and phone number, and the RFP details and documents.

When you browse the site, we automatically collect basic technical information such as your IP address, browser, device type, the pages you visit and the website that sent you here. We do not ask for sensitive personal information, so please don’t include it in messages or submissions.

3. How we use it

We use your information to run your account and subscription, send you the RFP alerts and service emails you signed up for, reply to your messages, and review and publish RFPs that agencies send us. We also use it to keep the site secure and free of spam, to understand how people use the site so we can improve it, and to meet our legal and tax obligations.

If you are in the European Economic Area or the UK, we use your information because we need it to provide the service you signed up for, because we have a legitimate interest in running and improving the site, because you have given consent (which you can withdraw at any time), or because the law requires it.

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information, and we do not show ads. We only share information with trusted companies that help us run The Bid Daily: Gumroad (see Gumroad’s privacy policy) for payments and billing, our web hosting company, our email delivery service, Google Analytics for site statistics, and services that block spam and speed up the site.

We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or the safety of our users, or if The Bid Daily is merged or sold. If that happens, this policy will continue to protect your information.

5. Public RFP data

Most of our RFP listings come from solicitations that agencies have already made public. Some of these documents include the work contact details of procurement staff, such as a name, email address or phone number. We only show this information as it appears in the public document, so vendors know whom to contact.

When an agency sends us an RFP, we publish it along with the contact details the agency includes for vendors. We use the submitter’s own details only to check and manage the listing. If you would like a listing corrected or your details removed, email us with a link to the listing and we will review it promptly.

6. Cookies

Cookies are small files stored by your browser. We use essential cookies to keep you logged in and to protect our forms, and Google Analytics cookies to understand how the site is used overall. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics using Google’s browser add-on.

7. How long we keep it and how we protect it

We keep your account information while your account is active and for up to [12 months] after it closes. We keep contact messages for up to [24 months], keep you on our email list until you unsubscribe, and keep billing records for as long as tax and accounting laws require. Published RFP listings stay on the site as an archive of public information.

We protect your information with a secure (HTTPS) connection, encrypted passwords, limited admin access, regular updates and backups. No website can be completely secure, but if a data breach ever affects you, we will let you and the authorities know as the law requires.

8. Your rights

You can ask us at any time to show you the information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. You can withdraw any consent you have given, and you can stop our emails with the unsubscribe link at the bottom of every message. Depending on where you live, you may have extra rights under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, the EU or UK GDPR, or US state laws such as California’s, including the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

To make a request, email support@thebiddaily.com. We may need to confirm your identity first, and we aim to reply within [30 days]. To cancel your subscription, use your Gumroad account.

9. Other important terms

The Bid Daily is run from India, and the companies that help us may process information in India, the United States and other countries. When information moves between countries, we rely on providers that protect it properly.

Our service is meant for businesses and agencies, not for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect children’s information. If we learn that we have, we will delete it.

RFP listings link to agency websites and procurement portals, and our site links to Gumroad and social media. Those websites have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for how they handle your information.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the new version on this page with a new date, and we will email subscribers about any important changes.

9. Contact us

If you have a question, request or complaint about your privacy, please contact our [Grievance Officer: Mohammed] by email at support@thebiddaily.com.
